Vanessa Sharp

My name is Vanessa Sharp, my focus is creating a solution that mirrors your goals. I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1999 with a degree in Teaching. I quickly learned that teaching was less about reading, writing and arithmetic and more about caring for people. My motto “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” I knew with this mentality I could help accomplish goals in insurance and medicare as well. After 10 years of teaching, I recently made the transition from teaching and insurance back office to joining my husband Matt, in building a family practice, where I focus on the Medicare space.

Matt joined the insurance, retirement and investment industry in 2011. Then in 2022, Matt and I joined MidPlains Advisors, creating Team Sharp of Norfolk. This transition has expanded the possibilities of what we can offer for solutions to your goals. The insurance, investment, retirement and Medicare experience with skills, support and knowledge backed with Award Winning companies, wrapped with care and compassion.

Matt and I were high school sweethearts. We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in August. We have 3 children, Brayden, Clayton and Brianna, they are all entering adulthood. Our youngest, Bri, is a Junior in college, at Northwest Missouri State. Clayton and his fiance Amber, live in Norfolk. Clayton works for K5 Ag. Amber works at the hospital while pursuing a degree in Radiology tech. Our oldest, Brayden and his wife Caitlin, recently moved to Charleston, SC where Brayden is a Social Media Specialist for Murray Road Agency and Caitlin is a Early Child Interventionist for Bright Start. You will always find the Sharp family together, fishing, hunting, golfing or boating...and cheering on the Huskers! My goals are summed up by my faith, family, and my compassion for people where we focus on a solution that mirrors your goals.
