Matt Sharp
Coming from the Sandhills of Nebraska, I learned at a very young age that hard work and perseverance will lead to success. My parents instilled in me the core values of being selfless and always doing the right thing for others. It can't be said any better than the saying in front of Memorial Husker Stadium, "Destination is not a matter of Chance, it is a matter of Choice"
I graduated from UNK and spent 20+ years working in the hospitality business. My goal was to give guests the best dining experience possible and add special memories. In 2011, I decided I wanted to be able to serve people in a whole new aspect. I moved into the financial planning industry and now with nearly 15 years of service giving my clients and friends peace of mind while helping them protect their family, invest for their future in retirement, and develop a lifetime income stream. No one is a stranger to me; just a friend I don’t know yet! I look forward to building a trusted, long-lasting relationship that is a legacy of memories.
I praise God every day for my wife, three children, and all my extended family. My wife of 30 years, Vanessa, has been my rock and biggest cheerleader, as well as my office manager. Our oldest son, Brayden, and his wife Caitlin, recently moved to South Carolina. Brayden is a media specialist for Murray Road Agency for their hunting and fishing department and Caitlin is an Early Interventionist for Bright Start as an early childhood advocate. This move brings them to warm weather and close to the Ocean and so many lakes for their passion for fishing. Clayton and his fiance Amber, reside in Norfolk, NE with their wedding this April. Clayton works for K5 Ag and Amber works at the hospital while going to school for Radiology. Both my boys have a passion for business management and enjoy bass fishing guiding and professionally–not in that order! My daughter, Brianna is attending college in Maryville, MO for business and marketing. Outside of college, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Chaden in Lincoln, and their new Mini Goldendoodle, named Mabel. As for me, when I am not at work assisting my clients, you will find me in a boat fishing, on the golf course, or in the field hunting. As a family, we enjoy anything in the great outdoors!
